THE FLEET CENTER. The objective was to come up with fabrication
dimensions of the aluminum panel "wing" system including the trusses
and other connecting members. First we built the proposed virtual
steel structural members using the steel detail drawings. Then,
using the architects concept plan, we constructed all of the
proposed parts and "extracted" their dimensions for fabrication
drawings. The final step: our surveyors marked the connection points
with magic markers on the now constructed steel beams.
All work was done in AutoCAD and Steelbook. |
